Calling all UX Designers
RSA Digital is growing again. We’re expanding our UX team and looking for bright individuals to join the team.
The Design team at RSA Digital is purposefully small and tight knit. Our work covers research, workshop hosting, sketching, prototyping and presenting ideas. Essentially we work with the content team to bridge the gap between data insights and frontend build.
Although this is an in-house team for RSA Group, we have a uniquely diverse range of brands to work with. Not only do we provide designs for RSA’s brands (e.g. MORE TH>N), but we also design for our partner brands. These include John Lewis, Nationwide, Marks & Spencer, Argos to name a few.
Our team oversees the entire digital experience — from researching insurance products and buying, through to claims and servicing.
What is the team like?
RSA’s digital team is a dynamic group of UX Designers, UI Designers, Content Writers, Analysts and Product Managers who believe that putting our customers first is the key to creating better products. Our aim is to help RSA become a truly digital organsation. Our team is organised in to scrum teams that work very closely together. Collaboration and open conversation is vital to our methodology.
We are based in Horsham, Sussex. That’s the bit between the south coast and London. It’s really not Shoreditch. It’s easy to get to, with some good pubs within staggering distance.

What are you looking for?
We are happy to hear from freelancers and permanent staff. We are looking for people who are happy to describe themselves as a UX Designer (no developer/analyst/designer crossovers please). These roles would suit people who are highly proactive and happy working in collaboration with Content or UI design. We require at least 4 years experience working in a full time UX role. All candidates will need to be comfortable talking about their outputs and methodologies. A knowledge of optimisation techniques would be very beneficial.
Most importantly we’re looking for people believe design can drive positive change. Our ideal candidates have a sincere passion for investigation and the problem solving process.
Where does this role lead to?
RSA Digital is constantly adapting to keep up with the demands of users and our business. This environment of change creates opportunities to move, develop, learn and improve. UX Designers will have opportunities design user experiences across a number of different brands/products/business areas, as well as shape the way UX is delivered at RSA. Whether you want to develop wider skills or move towards managing teams you will be actively involved in developing your own path.
How do I apply?
Start by heading over to our Join Us page and filling the form. You need to send your portfolio site link with some work samples and we’ll take it from there.
